Még mindig szakadok a párbeszédeken és Nick belső monológjain. Ami a storyt illeti, itt is lassan indult be, ahogy az Infinity-ben is, de igazából nem is lett valami hú de érdekes, és a nagy ellenség sem volt túl félelmetes vagy túl érdekfeszítő. Egy pontnál azt hittem, hogy nem lesz benne semmi paranormális, csak egy egyszerű pszichopata na ez mit mond el rólam, ha már a pszichopata sem elég rossz???. Annak ellenére, hogy értem miért fontos Nick személyiség fejlődéséhez, hogy a nehézségeket maga oldja meg, picit azért irritál, hogy kb. mindenkinek (aki egy kicsit is őrült ahhoz hogy higgyen neki) elmondja, hogy egy őrült plusz egy démon Altaïr üldözi, csak annak nem aki még segíteni is tudna. Ettől eltekintve egyre jobban szeretem ezt a sorozatot. Ez valóban Nick életútja, én pedig mindig is imádtam Nicket, legyen felnőtt vagy tinédzser. Van egy idézet, amit Kody mond Nick-nek, ami szerintem nagyon jól leírja a sorozat és az egyes könyvek felépítését:

"All of us are a culmination of vital parts of our parents and their pasts. A vital part of the circumstances we were raised with. Everything that happens to us, good and bad, leaves a lasting impression in our souls. You take one part of that out, and you can completely rewrite something crucial about us. By and large, we’re not shaped by the big things. It’s the little, day-to-day moments that make us who we are. Who we’re going to be."

Bármilyen apró dolognak is tűnik, bármennyire unalmas is néha az, hogy Nick iskolába jár, mi történik az iskolában, mit csinál otthon, mit eszik, hogy tölti az olyan napjait, amikor éppen nem akarja senki megölni… tudjuk, hogy ezek az apró dolgok formálják a karakterét. Nick élettörténetét kértük, hát azt is kapjuk. Persze szerencsénkre azért ritkán van nyugis napja szegénynek.

És ha már Kody…örültem, hogy sokkal többet szerepelt, mint az első részben, bár még mindig nem eleget, ahogy Ambrose sem. Illetve Caleb is szinte állandó szereplő lett. Negatívum, hogy kevés Bubba volt benne!!! Nick anyját pedig még mindig csapkodnám! Nagy arc volt még Grim, azaz Halál. Ki gondolta volna, hogy ilyen szórakoztató is lehet..? :)

Kis dolog vagy nagy, az viszont tény, hogy még mindig a fő szál és az ahhoz szorosan kapcsolódó kis mellékszálak a legérdekesebbek. Például, hogy mégis miért tanítja pont Halál Nick-et…

“I’m not the one talking.”
Kyrian snarled at him. “Don’t get smart with me.”
“You want me stupid?”
“Nick…”
Nick held his hands up. “Fine, just don’t eat my mom, okay? She’s had a bad enough life without becoming the Bride of Dracula. 

Let me give you free advice, kid. Whenever something is coming for you, snap its neck or double tap. Never, ever hesitate. It’s infinitely better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.

His mom always said that 90 percent of intelligence was knowing when to shut up.
